Aussie tourists made to write lines for breaching lockdown

A group of international tourists, including Australians, were made to write lines after breaching coronavirus lockdown laws in India.
A local police officer said the group of 10 were made to write, “I did not follow the rules of lockdown so I am so sorry” 500 times each after being caught, the South China Morning Post has reported.
A local reporter snapped a picture of the group undergoing their punishment.
About 700 tourists from Australia, the US and Mexico have already been punished in India for breaching lockdown laws.
Hotels will now be ordered to only allow foreigners to leave the premises if accompanied by a local, police have said.
India has recorded more than 8300 coronavirus cases, and 273 deaths.
