Mrs Todd also contracted COVID-19 and was forced into isolation, unable to see her ailing husband.
After weeks of fighting for his life, doctors knew his time was limited and organised a video call last night to allow Mrs Todd to say her final goodbye.
“We ask people to do what’s being asked of them – to stay home and stay safe, and not spread this disease,” Mrs Todd said in a statement.
“Because every risk they take can put people at risk and put people through what we are going through.”
