NSW Police officers fined for ignoring social distancing rules after attending hotel party

Two police officers have been fined for ignoring social distancing rules and partying at a hotel in the Sydney CBD on Saturday night.
The officers were at a birthday party at the Meriton suites on Sussex Street.

The woman was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment. She was released around 2am the following morning, NSW Police said.
A 27-year-old woman attached to the police transport command and a man, also 27, from Fairfield police area commander were both handed $1,000 fines.
A 31-year-old woman, a man also 31, and a 28-year-old woman who were also at the party were also fined for failing to comply failing to comply with noticed direction under the Public Health Act 2010.
