Woman charged after allegedly spitting on Sydney bus driver

A 52-year-old woman has been charged after she allegedly spat on a Sydney bus driver who refused to let her dog on board.
The Matraville woman will appear in court this afternoon after being arrested in Sydney’s eastern suburbs at 10.30am.
When the bus driver told her that dogs were not permitted on the bus, she refused to get off and sat at the back of the bus.

Police allege the woman then spat on the bus driver before running off the bus through the open front doors.
Eastern suburbs police yesterday put out an appeal calling for anyone who knew the woman’s whereabouts to come forward.
She was arrested in Dacey Gardens in Sydney’s eastern suburbs this morning and taken to Maroubra Police Station, where she was charged with common assault.
She is expected to appear in Central Local Court this afternoon.
